Overview#

The Evidence domain provides a dual-system architecture for evidence management. It combines Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) evidence review workflows for AI-assisted document classification and entity extraction with a full evidence management system for custody tracking, timeline preservation, and secure export operations.

Key Features#

  • HITL review workflows for pending entity extractions, financial transactions, and entity matches
  • AI confidence scoring with configurable thresholds and approval/rejection workflows
  • Individual and bulk approval/rejection operations with reasoning
  • Evidence upload with custody chain tracking and forensic timeline preservation
  • Evidence annotation with coordinate-based highlighting
  • Export with chain of custody metadata in multiple formats (PDF, JSON, ZIP)
  • Cross-tenant admin operations for superuser oversight
  • Review statistics dashboard with pending/approved/rejected counts and velocity metrics
  • Audit logging for all review and custody operations

Use Cases#

  • Reviewing and approving AI-extracted entities from investigation documents
  • Managing physical and digital evidence with full chain of custody
  • Bulk processing of entity extractions for efficient analyst workflows
  • Generating compliance-ready evidence exports with custody metadata

Integration#

The Evidence domain integrates with Entity for promoting approved extractions, Investigation for case association, Document for classification, Timeline for chronological display, Report for case inclusion, and Audit for access tracking.
