Overview#

Platform Control Plane provides a unified operating surface for platform engineering, solution operations, and governance teams responsible for managing deployments, releases, ontology evolution, developer tooling, and automation services. It brings operational control and change governance into one workspace so teams can assess readiness, stage changes, coordinate releases, and manage platform structure without relying on disconnected admin utilities.

The control plane is intended for organisations that run the platform as critical infrastructure and need disciplined release, governance, and operational oversight.

Key Features#

  • Deployment Console - Monitor rollout posture, environment readiness, and change execution from a dedicated deployment surface
  • Release Orchestration - Coordinate staged releases, readiness checks, approval gates, and rollout sequencing across environments
  • Ontology Studio - Manage governed changes to operational object models, managed types, and platform structure with visibility into downstream effects
  • Developer Console - Expose the runtime and integration context needed for advanced diagnostics, extension work, and controlled platform operations
  • Agent Studio - Configure and supervise automation and operator-assistance services as managed platform capabilities
  • Governance Snapshots - Capture point-in-time governance and deployment state for review, audit, and release confidence
  • Incident Workflow Support - Connect control-plane actions to active operational workflows where change and incident management intersect

Use Cases#

  • Controlled Production Releases - Stage and govern platform changes with visibility into readiness, risks, and release sequencing
  • Platform Model Governance - Evolve shared operational structures while maintaining confidence in compatibility and downstream impact
  • Operational Diagnostics - Give platform operators a structured workspace for deep platform oversight and controlled intervention
  • Automation Service Management - Supervise agent and developer-facing capabilities as managed services rather than isolated experiments

Integration#

  • Platform administration and deployment services
  • Ontology and managed-object governance workflows
  • Release approval, audit, and incident-management processes
  • Developer tooling, automation, and observability systems
