Overview#
An operations manager starting the day needs one screen that shows which shifts are thin, which requests are waiting on them, and what changed overnight, without opening a dozen individual records. Workforce Operations HQ opens the workforce dashboard on exactly that: a live command centre with headline statistics, weekly coverage at a glance, a queue of items that need attention, and a running feed of recent workforce activity, all above the fold.
The module pairs this command centre with visual, one-click approval boards. Onboarding, time-off, shift trades, and grievances each get a swimlane board where items move through their lifecycle by drag or a single click, and a schedule coverage board lets managers drag employees onto open shifts or fill them automatically. A dashboard Action Centre gathers everything awaiting a decision into one place, so supervisors, HR teams, and operations managers act on workforce demands instead of hunting for them.

Integration#
Workforce Operations HQ sits on top of the wider workforce domain. The coverage heatmap and coverage board draw on workforce management and shift scheduling, the onboarding board reflects the managed onboarding lifecycle, and time-off and shift-trade decisions taken on the boards flow straight back into the schedule. The Action Centre surfaces the same items as the role-based operations dashboards, and staff records populated through workforce directory import from Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace appear across the boards. Every decision taken from a board is recorded against the acting user through the platform's audit capabilities.

- RFC 7519 (JSON Web Tokens): Approval and denial actions are carried out under a signed token identifying the acting manager, supporting reliable attribution of every decision.
